Sam Houston State cross country returns home to compete at the Southland Conference Preview Meet on Saturday morning from Huntsville's Kate Barr Ross Memorial Park.

The Sam Houston State cross country women took second and the men placed first behind a pair of strong finishes at the HBU Opener on Thursday night.

The Sam Houston State men's and women's cross country teams enters its first competition on Thursday with the women running the two-mile race at 6:30 p.m., followed by the men in the three-mile.

The Sam Houston State track and field and cross country programs are slated to host walk-on meetings and tryouts in August.
