Desmond Coleman, a freshman at Liberty, won the men's discus throw title with a third-round performance of 197-2 (60.10m) at the USATF U20 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Kevin Grubbs, a freshman at Sam Houston State, placed second with a fifth-round effort of 196-11 (60.02m), and Wichita State first-year athlete Ridge Estes took third with a second-round mark of 196-10 (60.00m).
